When I was sad you lifted me up and when I was lonely you were there for me. You made me feel high and I could rely on you. I loved you, I needed you, oh yes I did. However there came a time when you would make me feel guilty and when I looked in the mirror I saw what you did to me. You started to mess with my mind and I was missing out on life. You affected nearly everything in my life and my feelings for you turned into, what shall I say; a love/hate one. I cried for you, I craved for you, I had highs with you, I even laughed with you. Then one day I realised you were no good for me and I had to let you go. I knew that this constant struggle with you had to end. So today dear FOOD I am letting you go. You see, I don’t need you to do what you did to me and for me anymore. I’m taking control and embracing my emotions because they are powerful beyond imagination and have allowed me to welcome in my spiritual gifts. I’m strong now and I can handle it all. Even though you were a friend and you were there when I needed you, you then became the enemy until eventually I feared you. This time around I see you only as necessary, fuel for my body and as we start this new journey I feel so free.
